The Dallas Stars have announced their schedule for the 2013-2014 season. While some DFW sports people don't really care, I am not one of those people. I am very excited about the return of Dallas Stars hockey. The Stars have been one of the busiest teams this off season. They made a huge trade with the Boston Bruins that sent Loui Eriksson to Boston in exchange for Tyler Seguin. Then they sent defensemen Philip Larson to Edmonton for veteran Shawn Horcoff. They also signed new head coach Lindy Ruff, who is known for being a defensive minded coach.
Some of the biggest dates to keep in mind:
*Thursday October 3rd is Opening Night and it's a home game against the Florida Panthers.
*Saturday November 9th the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks make their first trip to the AAC.
*Saturday January 4th rival Detroit Red Wings makes their first trip to the AAC.
*Thursday January 16th the Boston Bruins will make their only trip to Dallas.
*Saturday January 25th Sidney Crosby, Brenden Morrow, and the Pittsburgh Penguins make their only appearance in Dallas.
*Friday, April 11th is the final home game of the season against the St. Louis Blues.
